Title:Breast Radiation Using Mammosite Brachytherapy (after breast conserving surgery)
Purpose:The purpose is to test whether radiation to part of the breast using brachytherapy after the removal of cancer gives similar results to those obtained when the whole breast receives radiation therapy. The study seeks to assess safety of the mammosite device in this setting, including the quality of life.

Elgibility: Eligible patients will be older than 50 years of age with stage 1 breast cancer with have tumors smaller than 2 cm., among other qualifiers.
Treatment:Patients will receive radiation therapy to the lumpectomy cavity using the mammosite catheter. Treatment is given twice a day (six hours apart) for five working days.
