Breastfeeding class

Breastfeeding benefits you and your baby in many ways, physically as well as emotionally. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding for the first year of a baby's life.

The class covers:

  • Health benefits of breastfeeding
  • Body changes during breastfeeding
  • How to breastfeed
  • Common breastfeeding problems and their remedies
  • Use of breast pumps
  • Breast milk storage
  • Continuing breastfeeding while working outside the home

Recommended during last trimester of pregnancy. One two hour session. Taught by an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.

Cost: $25
Class fee includes a breastfeeding book.
