Hand Rehabilitation Center

Hand rehabilitation services are provided to individuals with various hand and upper extremity injuries including: crush injuries, replantations, amputations, tendon and nerve damage, acute or chronic fractures, burns, and congenital malformations. These services are provided at multiple locations throughout the suburbs of Chicago.

A multi-disciplinary team of specialists in orthopaedic hand surgery, plastic surgery, and trauma specialists, work with professionals in occupational therapy and physical therapy to restore the injured extremity to functional capacity. The services provided include a thorough evaluation of the hand and upper extremities; functional assessment and training; design and fabrication of splints; individualized exercise programs; physical capacity evaluations to determine return to work capability; a work hardening/work tolerance program; on-site job visits and consultations; and pain management utilizing relaxation and biofeedback techniques.
