The Musculoskeletal Care Center of Loyola University Health System is made
up of a multidisciplinary group of orthopaedic surgeons, physiatrists and
podiatrists working with nurses, therapists, social workers and other professionals
to provide comprehensive care to both children and adults. This highly specialized
team is devoted to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention
of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
The musculoskeletal system is comprised of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments,
cartilage, nerves, blood vessels and joints. It is so interconnected that
when a single bone, ligament or muscle is damaged, it can affect the entire
structure. Our center was designed to care for this complex system —
the framework of the human body.
