Hearing Disorders (Otology) and Neuro-Otology

Otologists diagnose and treat diseases of the ear. The subspecialty of neuro-otology is concerned with brain lesions that cause or complicate ear problems. Loyola University Health System’s (Loyola) specialists offer the entire range of diagnostic testing and treatment for ear problems, from hearing impairments to balance disorders to benign and malignant tumors at the cranial base. What distinguishes Loyola’s hearing and neuro-otology program is the comprehensive range of services available and the close collaboration among specialists. Otologists and neuro-otologists work in partnership with leading audiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and others as needed to best meet patient needs.
