Chaplain Services
Continuum of Care

At the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, we have a chaplain on duty daily, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our chaplain is available for counseling, support, prayer and sacraments and is available on site, or by calling (708) 327-2149, or pager (708) 216-4899, number 3110.

In addition we have a meditation room, to provide patients and family members with a quiet, secluded place to rest, pray, talk or meditate. Inspirational reading materials also are available.

For patients in the high dose therapy unit or the day hospital, the Catholic Mass is available from Sunday through Friday on Channel 4 at noon and taped Protestant worship services are available every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on Channel 4.

For inpatients, a chaplain is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Catholic Mass is held in the Paul V. Galvin Memorial Chapel (lower level of the hospital) Sunday through Friday at noon.
