The
Screening Process
Mammography is the key to early detection of many
breast cancers. We offer screening mammograms
at multiple
locations throughout the Chicagoland area.
You will need a physician's prescription to have
a mammogram.
Expert
Diagnosis
At the Breast Diagnostic Center located within
the Loyola Outpatient Center in Maywood, our leading
breast care specialists provide expert diagnosis,
giving you the answers you need. We offer comprehensive
same-day diagnostic mammography and diagnostic
work-up, including a visit with a breast care
specialist and appropriate radiological imaging
to address any breast problem you may have.
Breast
Cancer Treatment
At the Breast Oncology Center within the Cardinal
Bernardin Cancer Center, an entire team of specialists
is dedicated to all aspects of your cancer, from
diagnosis and staging through a comprehensive
and tailored treatment program. During your first
visit, a team of specialists will confer to determine
your best course of treatment. They will devise
a plan of care tailored to treat your specific
condition and meet with you to share that information.
Breast
Research Program
Our patients benefit from state-of-the-art research
and clinical trials. Loyola's preclinical research
and clinical research teams work to produce initiatives
at the forefront of breast care research.
Risk
Assessment
At the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, we offer
specialists to assess your risk for breast cancer
and offer prevention strategies. Genetic counselors,
along with a team of oncology specialists, provide
individualized family history analysis, risk evaluation
and, when possible, offer strategies for risk
reduction.
Support
Services
We offer services at the Coleman
Foundation Image Renewal Center to help you
renew your body and spirit while undergoing treatments
for breast cancer. In addition, we have a support
group for breast cancer patients and their family
members.
