| The
Screening Process
Loyola Breast Care recommends screening mammograms
beginning at age 40 -- or earlier if you are at
high risk for breast cancer. With 11 screening
locations in the western
Chicago suburbs, Loyola makes it easy to schedule
an annual screening mammogram in your neighborhood.
You will need to have a physician's prescription
to have your mammogram.
Screenings are the most effective way to detect
any signs of breast cancer early, when your chances
for successful treatment are the highest. Our
goal is to make your experience as comfortable
and convenient as possible.
Loyola understands that regular breast screenings
are the best way to find cancer, and so we stress
the importance of knowing and following the recommendations
and guidelines for mammograms.
