Clinical Research Program
The Breast Clinical Research Program is a critical
component of our comprehensive approach for breast
care treatment. Led by Kathy Albain, MD, professor,
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine,
Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology,
our clinical researchers lead and develop major
national studies that directly influence the prevention
of disease, course of treatment, survival and
quality of life. As a result, our team often has
extensive experience with breakthrough treatments
that other health systems are just beginning to offer.
Having a breast cancer research program also means
we can provide patients with the option to participate
in some of the world's most advanced clinical
trials.
Our research team is studying new breast cancer
procedures that promise to dramatically reduce
the amount of treatment necessary -- increasing
the comfort and convenience for our patients.
Thanks to the exceptional work of this nationally
recognized team, we continue to lead the way in
care of patients with breast cancer.
