Microarray Facility
Research

The microarray facility assists researchers in identification of global gene expression profiles and specific candidate genes in response to genetic or environmental alterations of the cells.

The facility provides services including the following:

1. Design and manufacture of DNA microarrays for comprehensive gene expression analysis.

The following DNA microarrays have been provided more recently for research projects:

  • NIA 15K mouse genes/slide
  • NIA 7.4K mouse genes/slide
  • 12K human genes/slide
  • 9K human CpG DNA fragments/slide
  • 6K human genes/slide
  • 1K human genes/slide for cancer research
  • 768 human genes/slide for mitochondrial metabolism related research
  • 288 human genes/slide for cardiovascular and coagulation related research
  • 250 human genes/slide for cell cycle research

2. Assistance in the design of microarray experiments/projects
3. Provision of gene lists, experimental protocols, image scanning and technical support
4. Advice on utilization of databases and bioinformatics tools publicly available
5. Microarray research based on the mutual interests in collaboration
