Orthopaedic Surgery

It’s natural for children to put their bones to the test with normal childhood play. But when they get injured, it’s critical to treat them correctly to ensure proper bone growth into the future.

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery program at the Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital of Loyola is comprised of experts in treating musculoskeletal and spinal disorders as well as congenital problems and injuries. We provide care for children with:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Clubfoot
  • Fractures
  • Hand and wrist injury
  • Hip conditions, dysplasia
  • Legg-Calve-Perthes disease
  • Scoliosis
  • Slipped capital femoral epiphysis
  • Spina Bifida
  • Sports injuries
  • Trauma

Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of pediatric orthopaedic and hand orthopaedic specialists and plastic surgeons as well as nurses and rehabilitation specialists, all committed to providing your child with the very best care.

We also are host to a Spina Bifida Clinic, where families of children with this condition receive specialized care.

We also have a Sports Medicine Program specializing in sports-related injuries.
