Surgery
Services
With
state-of-the-art facilities and highly trained, experienced
surgeons, Loyola University Health System (Loyola) represents
the best in surgical care. Two key surgical programs
are recognized for excellence. The trauma center was
the first in Illinois to achieve designation as an American
College of Surgeons Level 1 Trauma Center. The Burn
Center was first in the state to be verified by the
American Burn Association and the American College of
Surgeons for compliance with national standards.
In
response to patients’ needs, Loyola surgeons co-develop
and participate in multidisciplinary services so patients
can receive treatment from various specialists at one
site. These services include the Breast Care Center,
Gastrointestinal Motility Clinic, Hand Clinic, Spinal
Trauma Service and Wound Management Clinic.
