Spina
Bifida Program
The
spina bifida program is an interdisciplinary service designed
to meet the special needs of children with spina bifida
or other neural tube problems.
Pediatric
rehabilitation, orthopaedics, urology, neurological
surgery, and general pediatrics are available within
the clinic setting so that children may be seen by all
the subspecialists necessary. Social work, physical
therapy, occupational therapy and dietitians are available
for consultation. Many of the children receive general
pediatric care from a primary care pediatrician and
every effort is made to keep that physician aware of
the subspecialist's therapeutic plans.
