Information about your pre-operative
visit
If you are qualified to receive laser vision
correction, the next step in the procedure is
a pre-operative visit. This exam will be more
comprehensive than your initial screening.
- You may be asked to not wear contact lenses
before your visit; contact lenses may warp the
cornea. Not wearing contact lenses will help
your doctor plan your laser surgery on a more
stable corneal surface.
- You will have blurry vision for some time
after your exam because of the dilating drops.
The drops are necessary to properly evaluate
your retina. You should be able to drive, with
the use of your glasses, but if you are uncertain,
make arrangements for someone to drive you home
from your pre-operative appointment.
If you have any further questions, please call
us at (888) LUHS-888 and ask to speak with one
of our laser vision correction specialists.
