Patient
Education: Laser Vision Center
What to expect from your free consultation
In order for us to determine whether or not you
are a good candidate for laser vision correction
surgery, we will meet with you to learn about
your medical history and run a series of tests.
- We will begin by taking a complete medical
history. This will take a few minutes. We also
will examine your eyes under a biomicroscope.
This is called a slit lamp evaluation.
- Next, you will undergo a complete corneal
analysis, which includes:
- Corneal topography (to determine the
shape of your cornea)
- Corneal thickness measurement
- We will thoroughly assess your corrected
vision (i.e. with glasses).
- The final step in the screening will be a
pupil size assessment.
Following the screening, our surgeon will discuss
the advantages and disadvantages of a variety
of vision correction procedures. By having the
most accurate, up-to-date information, you can
decide which vision correction surgery is right
for you.
If you have any further questions, please call
us at (888) LUHS-888 and ask to speak with one
of our laser vision correction specialists.
