Magnetic
Resonance Imaging Center
The
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center provides the referring
physician with unique diagnostic information useful in
the evaluation of diseases of the central nervous system,
the heart and mediastinum, abdomen and pelvis and musculoskeletal
system. Examinations are monitored by attending radiologists
in addition to staff radiological technologists and registered
nurses who are able to provide all aspects of patient
care. A written interpretation of studies will be promptly
mailed to the referring physician and/or the results will
be communicated by telephone when either a mailing address
or telephone number is provided.
Radiology,
in conjunction with the Loyola Outpatient Center, has
expanded the existing capacity by installing a second
unit and upgrading the initial unit. This has resulted
in improved image quality and the ability to do fast
scans, enhanced cardiac studies, breast imaging and
magnetic resonance angiography.
