For Physicians - How to Refer a Patient
Liver Transplantation

We regard referring physicians as key to the success of every patient’s treatment. Once the patient has received treatment at Loyola University Health System (Loyola), we ensure a smooth transition back to the care of the referring physician. We believe our close partnership with referring physicians means better and more convenient treatment for patients.

Physicians may refer patients by calling the liver transplant office at (708) 216-0364. An appointment will be set up for the patient to be seen in the clinic for evaluation of the liver disease and appropriateness for a liver transplant. At this time, the patient can be referred to a liver transplant coordinator with have immediate questions or concerns.

The patient should bring any medical records to the clinic on the day of the first appointment.
