Leischner
Institute
The
Ralph P. Leischner Jr., MD, Institute for Medical Education
was established at Loyola University Chicago Stritch
School of Medicine (Stritch) in honor of a professor
who devoted 30 years to helping students become outstanding
physicians. Leischner demonstrated an enduring commitment
to learning, and the institute created in his name carries
that forward.
The
Leischner Institute increases
opportunities for clinical faculty to work with students,
enables exceptional teachers to pursue projects to improve
curriculum, provides an ongoing forum for innovation
and brings together national medical leaders annually
to discuss new approaches to medical education.
The
Leischner Institute allows Stritch to continue to advance
medical knowledge, to lead in medical education, and
to inspire physicians to have the highest degree of
skill, integrity and compassion.
