Loyola
University Health System's (Loyola) anesthesiologists
represent all areas of subspecialty in the field. They
are integral members of the health care team caring
for patients undergoing surgery, women in labor, injured
patients in the trauma center and burn unit and patients
in intensive care. The group is noted for its expertise
in cardiovascular surgery, neurological surgery, organ
transplantation and complicated pediatric procedures.
Anesthesiologists also provide support for patients
during diagnostic and interventional procedures such
as MRI, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, ablation
and pediatric procedures. They are the lead caregivers
for patients with acute and chronic pain utilizing a
state-of-the-art Pain Management Clinic. The specialists
