Membership upgrades/downgrades

Additional members may be added to a membership at any time. There is no penalty for adding members to your membership at a later date. (See How to Enroll for Membership for more information on membership types.)

All membership upgrades must follow normal membership rules and regulations. Memberships are not based on relationship; they are all based on proof of residency provided by a driver's license or state ID.

Membership upgrades cannot be completed electronically and must be completed in person. If you would like to begin the membership upgrade process, you can download the Membership Upgrade Form and submit the completed form to the Member Services Desk.

Individual to Couple

In order to upgrade your membership from an individual to couple status, the new member must pay a $100 upgrade fee plus the difference in monthly dues between an individual and couple membership for the first full month. After the upgrade has been applied, the original member's monthly dues will increase to the current couple rate.

Couple to Family

In order to upgrade your membership from a couple to family status, the new member must pay a $50 upgrade fee plus the difference in monthly dues between a couple and family membership for the first full month. After the upgrade has been applied, the original member's monthly dues will increase to the current couple rate.

Adding a Fourth or Fifth Family Member

In order to upgrade your family membership by adding a fourth or fifth member, the each new member must pay a $100 upgrade fee. Since the monthly dues do not change once a family membership status has been established, the difference in monthly dues does not apply when adding a fourth or fifth member. After the upgrade has been applied, the original member's monthly dues will remain the same.

Membership Downgrades

Members may be downgraded off of your membership at any time. As a result, your monthly dues will change according to your new membership type. There is no fee for downgrading members off of your membership. (See How to Enroll for Membership for more information on membership types.)

All membership downgrades must be completed by the 15th of the current month in order for the change in monthly dues to take place for the next month. If the member is downgraded before the 15th of the month, the downgraded member may still utilize the facility until the end of the current month.

Any membership downgrades completed after the 15th of the current month will not take effect until the last day of the following month. The remaining member will continue to be billed for the membership type prior to the downgrade for the following month. As a result, the downgraded member may still utilize the facility until the last day of the following month.

If you would like to downgrade an individual off of your Membership, complete the Membership Downgrade Form and your request will be processed.
