Conduct and Etiquette

The Loyola Center for Health & Fitness requires appropriate athletic attire in all areas of the facility. The standards include shirts, shorts or sweatpants and athletic shoes. Open-toe shoes or sandals are not allowed.

In accordance with Loyola University Medical Center scrub policy, misty green colored scrubs are not allowed in the center nor may any person change into or out of them at the center. The center reserves the right to determine what is appropriate attire.

The center asks members to be courteous to all fellow members. Please limit your time on the cardio machines to 30 minutes, allow others to work in on your strength equipment, and remove the free weights from machines after use and return them to the closest weight tree. Lastly, towels are provided to wipe down machines after use.

To keep the center clean, please keep all food in the café area.

Use of profanity or abusive language will not be tolerated.

Court Conduct

The following rules must be adhered to while playing on the courts:

  • No street shoes or black-soled shoes are allowed on the courts
  • Shirts must be worn at all times
  • Players using abusive language or behavior will be asked to leave
  • Excessive shouting or arguing will not be tolerated
  • Above all, good sportsmanship and fair play must prevail

The center reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership in violation of member etiquette or conduct policies or due to any other act deemed violent, disrespectful or harmful to staff, fellow members or guests.
