Special Issues:

  MD or MD/PhD faculty can request transfer from one track to another track at any time prior to application for promotion.  Such faculty requesting move to Academic Track/Research/Teaching must have demonstrated funding for research.

Faculty hired in either Academic Track must have a departmental mentor of record and that mentor must evaluate and document progress in Track at least every three years (documentation must accompany promotion applications).
