School Nurse Education

School Nurse and EMS Continuum of Care Course

Developed by the University of New Mexico's Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, this online education offers a guided tour of an ambulance and EMS dispatch operations. The education concludes with a diabetic school emergency scenario to demonstrate the effectiveness of school nurse and EMS continuum of care.

School Nurse Emergency Care (SNEC) Courses

Illinois EMSC sponsors the School Nurse Emergency Care (SNEC) course within our state.  This three-day course is designed to enhance the assessment, triaging, and treatment skills of the school nurse when confronted with the acutely ill or injured student.  With increasing numbers of urgent health-related conditions seen within the changing school environment and the need to ensure disaster/terrorism preparedness, this course will support the school nurse's core knowledge base in responding to these types of situations.

If you would like to be added to our SNEC course brochure mailing list send an e-mail with your mailing address to Ramona Rendon at rrendon@lumc.edu or  (708) 327-2561.
