Junior Volunteer Summer Program
A
valuable service learning experience for high school
students
Valuable
Experience for the Future
Our Junior Volunteer
Summer Program is an opportunity for high school students
to gain an inside view of the workings of a health-care
facility. The program will provide experiences that
will help students contemplate future careers and the
hours will count towards community service requirements
for high school.
A Service
Learning Opportunity
The program begins with a two-hour orientation session
to familiarize participants with the campus, the health
system organization and safety, fire and infection control
procedures. Students will complete
a series of four, four-week service rotations in different
health-care environments, volunteering on Tuesday, Wednesday
and/or Thursday.
